So many thumbs up reviews prompted me to start this as my first quarantined read.

I read the extended version.
It left me confused.
Parts of it felt like 500 words saying nothing.
Two major opposing characters were not properly given origins, linkage and purpose.

I wasn't impressed in the end.
The character of Harold was well fleshed out. And the most stood out. After him, Nick was best.
