The Baudelaire orphans are off running away from Count Olaf, the person, who wants to steal the fortune of they own since their parents died in an awful fire. At first, the orphans are in Olaf's car trunk, so that they can find some of the answers both the orphans and Olaf are searching. Olaf is going to a carnival that has a lady called Madame Lulu, who tells Olaf answers for his evil schemes of getting the fortune.
