I have been thinking of all you lovely people - but unfortunately I had to leave on an emergency flight from Australia to the UK last week - hence my absence here. My mum passed away on 13/5/13 with end stage MS. I made it in time and was blessed to have six days to nurse her. She is out of suffering now. Much to arrange and a gambit of emotions, but I will pop in and out on GR as I can x Take care all x

I hate hearing about end stage MS - I know the horrible suffering as I've got MS, I'm glad she's at peace now.
I just saw your status update. I am sorry about the death of your mother. We miss you.

Hello all. It's been eight weeks now since my mum passed, and in the past two days I've put down the bereavement reading, and have felt the need to shift gears. Thank you for taking the time to write these kind comments. The Goodreads community has been a comforting thing to keep in my mind, and I've thought about you all, on your various reading adventures. I believe books have the power to change us in so many ways, so I'm signing up for the healing as well.
