From the start I was captivated by this book. The Introduction begins with the sentence: “I am the daughter of a father who said: “Education is wasted on a woman.” This is the memoir of a lady who refused to be typecast, and how she overcame the poor deck of cards given her. She soared above difficulties and betrayal and managed to retain her sense of humor, sharp wit. A page turner from start to finish.
