I'm wondering why I enjoyed this book so much the first time I read it back in '08 when it came out. It's basically a coming of age story blended with Hamlet and a classic dog story. It is disjointed at times, lyrical at others ... Blending the three elements of Shakespearean tragedy, coming of age and dog story plus the disjointed style of writing is really falling short for me. Disappointed - What was I thinking?
