In the book the protagonist Claudia makes a friend with the boy Pim in the painting, however everyone around her says Pim is evil and bad.
I think Pim isn't what he seems, and Claudia should be aware of what he might be up to, and she might have to defeat the bad witch alone. According to what one of the characters said, if Pim is bad, I think Claudia is going to change him, or try to at least.
