First chapter with the Earth researchers.

It’s so strange to progress so quickly through this brief book! After This Alien Shore and The Way of Kings it feels like I’m sailing through.

Tape 3 finished. The King’s account of meeting the Gray Wanderer is very different from hers.

I was uncertain with the first section. It was a little too distanced to truly draw me in, but the second section, written in 2nd person, so it feels very intimate. It drew me in immediately. Lots of history and foreshadowing that I am very curious where this is going. I’ll continue with This Alien Shore because I’m almost finished, but I did want to get started on this because it was my suggestion for a SFFBC BR
