Notes:
(1) Any DC story set in or about Russia without KGBeast is a missed opportunity.
(2) Joker's Daughter is such a universally despised character that I see zero benefit in adding her to any ensemble... with the exception of putting her on the Suicide Squad so Harley can be the one to kill her off, which is my prediction. It'd be very poetic.

Notes:
(1) Ideally, the Suicide Squad should be composed of D-list villains. Part of the gimmick is that some of them get killed. When you put A-list villains on the team (like Deathstroke, Black Manta and Reverse Flash), you know they're only on loan. Really, the only A-lister should be Harley, and only because being on the team made her A-list.

Notes:
(1) Interesting additions to this book are Deathstroke and Joker's Daughter. They directly overlap Deadshot and Harley's roles. Before this, Joker's Daughter was essentially Harley's Gotham replacement.
(2) Jeremy Roberts does a great job on this book. I'm impressed. Not only are his covers fantastic, but he doesn't skimp on the interiors.

Notes:
(1) I have no idea why DC decided to reboot and rebrand this series. My best guess is this was at about the time the "Suicide Squad" movie was announced and they wanted to have a new #1 issue for potential new readers.
(2) Just from flipping through this I can already tell it's a different tone artistically. More candy-colored, less grime.

Julio wrote: "I remember reading them in single issue, but fell off the bandwagon."Sorry to hear that, Julio. Even if I hate this, I'd mostly likely still finish the run. I'm an irrational completist when it comes to comics.

Chad wrote: "I'm the exact same way. It does get better during Rebirth."At this point, I can't wait to get to Rebirth. I think I've burned through all the really good New 52 stuff. At the rate I'm going, I'm still about half a year away.

A lot of the fluff was burned away with Rebirth. What titles do you still have left to finish?
During this lockdown in San Francisco due to coronavirus, I’ve checked out from library Powers, Volumes 4-6; Runaways, Volume 4 and comics. 🤓
I think I have to read around 7 more books from my room before I can move in what I intend to keep. Knowledge is power!!!
Chad wrote: "A lot of the fluff was burned away with Rebirth. What titles do you still have left to finish?"Well, I've only really finished six titles. Most of the ones I've been reading I've got about two or three volumes left to read, which is at about the DCYou era.
You can see it in the chart below. Batman/Superman and Superman/Wonder Woman, I intend to read but haven't started. The series in light grey (Superboy, Supergirl, World's Finest, Huntress, Convergence, etc.) are optional, so I'll probably skip a few of them if I'm really itching to get to Rebirth. I already decided to drop Futures End.
Frankly, I'd be nearly done if I hadn't spent so long reading and reviewing all 52 Villains Month one-shots. The reading wasn't nearly as time-consuming as the reviewing.

Hope you're staying safe and having a good time with those books! I figure I'll take the time to settle into some added reading too 😁👍
