I forced myself to make it through this book, and only finished half of Book 2 because I found the writing horrible, the story sappy and too saccharine and the whole thing too boring to finish. I am not a prude and wouldn't mind an S & M story if it was well written and creatively told. But Book 1 and 2 were as far as I could get with this series before giving up in despair and disgust.
