Notes:
(1) Just trying to think whether I've read anything by Matt Kindt that I'd consider "good"... no, no I haven't.
(2) I get that in the New 52 everyone's supposed to be young and sexy, but did that have to extend to Amanda Waller? As a fat Machiavellian bureaucrat, she was really interesting. As a super-spy, she's just a generic action girl.

Notes:
(1) I was with this arc for the first few issues, but then it quickly started to not make sense.
(2) I don't get DC's obsession with OMAC. After the "OMAC" series was cancelled they moved him to "Justice League International," and after that was cancelled they moved him here. Am I the only one who's noticed that OMAC's killed three series?

I'm pretty wary of comics over 200 pages. Usually it's indicative of a lack of confidence that it would sell well in smaller chunks: one book no one buys is better than two. But this might be okay. First, there's not a zillion artists, so it's creatively consistent. Plus, it's the last book, so they may not have had enough issues to split to two.

I bought into the Matt Kindt hype, and picked up a bunch of his books a few years ago. I didn't like any of them.

Wait what? They changed Waller? She's always been the Umbridge of the DC universe to me... I can't imagine her any other way.

Kindt does seem to have a reputation as an interesting creator. Though, I've never been particularly moved to pick up his indie books, and only really know him from his DC work. Perhaps he's not suited to the genre. Alternatively, he could be one of those polarizing people who only appeals to certain tastes.

I'm acutally fine with her being able to fight. As long as it doesn't take away from her pulling the strings in the background and actively staying there 'cause it's the smart thing to do. That's how her character was handled on the show Arrow and although they usually were not faithful to the source material, their Waller version worked pretty well.

That's h..."Well, she does do that too, but she's out in the field an awful lot in this run. And, as I said before, it's not as interesting as being the puppet master she's traditionally been. I just don't like that they took a very unique character and went out of their way to make her less unique.
Can confirm: We are back to classic Waller in Rebirth, not the super-fit in the field agent of New52.Also, only thing I was ever blown away by from Kindt is his series Mind MGMT.

Yeah, that's the series I'm always hearing about. Perhaps I'd like it if I gave it a go, but my experience with him so far has made me wary of trying any more.
Also, nice to know that Waller's back to her old self in Rebirth 😁👍
