If we were missing anything from TDA, it was duck jokes. I'm glad we're making up for it in TLH.

I'm half-convinced we're going to open TWP with Kit proposing to Ty at this rate. Or Jaime to Dru.

These goddamn Blackthorns. I never believed anyone could own my heart like Will does, and then Julian happened, and now Jesse Blackthorn is well on his way.

Can we appreciate that in all but TDA, the teenage Shadowhunters' idea of appropriately adult supervision is Magnus-fucking-Bane, High Warlock of Glitter, Fine Waistcoats, and Peru? Wait, maybe not Peru.........

I would like to take a moment to appreciate Lucie Herondale's obsession with terrible romance tropes.

I'm starting to think all male Shadowhunters are born gay. Honestly, it's a bit frustrating to have read TMI/TDA & Alec's struggle, and then read a prequel series that's just ... it feels like it's undermining Alec a little.

It's amazing how much trouble one disease-ridden philanderer can continue to cause decades after his death. Also, I'd be perfectly pleased if Clare would stop jumping between POVs and settle in on Lucie & James. I keep hitting a mental brake every time we switch POVs & it's slowing down the story. A book this length should take me 8 hours, and I'm already at 4.
