The author has a good style--just enough detail but not so much that I feel bogged down in words. The grammatical errors are killing me though. There are enough that I want to find a red pen...not a good thing for my iPad...lol. Hope that gets better because it does detract from what is starting to be a promising read.

A few irksome things I'll get to in my review, but they aren't enough to keep me from recommending this book. Overall, a good start back on the reading trail. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy getting lost in fiction; it's much like revisiting my first love. Now to find more time for it! I'm up in three hours with the munchkin, so off to sleep with me.

Got to read a lot this morning. Yay! I can't believe how long the baby slept!

The main character is a tad too introspective for me, rehashing the same thoughts over and over, though I do recognize this is a style choice some people like. I'm not one of them, but the book is interesting enough so far to pull me past that.

Definitely enjoying this book overall; I'm not sure if I like the main character, but there's room for her to grow, so I'm watching and reserving judgment. More editing issues than I can ignore, which is a shame since it does detract from the author's great painting style. Not enough to make me want to discard the book, but enough to make me less engrossed than I wish to be.

Still a good story...will have to come back to it later.

Signed up for this through a read to review. It's the first book I've had time to read since my daughter was born and I'm really looking forward to it.
