In the story, Stephen states he feels the Eath spinning beneath him and there is nothing he can do to stop it and he is desperate to return it to normal. This propels Stephen to get his father back and return to his old ways of living.

In the story, Stephen states he feels the Eath spinning beneath him and there is nothing he can do to stop it. This reveals just how desperate Stephen is to return to his old ways of livining because it is the only real way he knows. Also in order for Stephen to return to the old ways he must first reclaim his father who has fallen into a coma.

In the Eleventh Plague, the main character of Stephen lives in a futuristic America ravaged by war and disease. Because of the massive ammounts of casualties I will infer that he will attempt to relocate withe his friend Jenny to a different land.
