Citra, Rowan and Scythe Faraday just attended the conclave (a scythe meeting). Citra and Rowan discovered some pretty horrific news at the conclave. Whoever wins the apprenticeship will have to kill the loser! Rowan and Citra were becoming good friends and now they know that one of them will have to kill the other!

I just started this book but it is already very interesting. There are people called scythes that kill people who aren't perfect to help keep the population under control. A scythe just reached the Terranova's apartment and they don't know what will happen next.
