Bezhin Lea was beautiful and sweet. The descriptions of nature were awesome and the superstitious stories of the 5 young boys were cute and interesting. The morning after the descriptions are so immense and the glory of the ending is contrasted so drastically with the tragedy of the next sentence. There is some pondering of class divisions, even amongst the children but the focus is primarily on nature and the boys

Hamlet was interesting. It began as a satire or sarcastic view of a dinner at a nobles house. It then twisted into a tale of disillusionment and almost nihilsm. The character of "Vasily Vasilyech" was sad and the despair at his own originality is palpable

Meeting is heartbreaking and rage inducing and Turgenevs power of description comes to bear at full force. He is master in these short stories if building up such tremendous emotion
