I predict that magic will indeed become true. At the end of the chapter, it states that magic could and did not exist. This makes me think the opposite and that magic will happen. This book is also a mystery and I have to believe that magic will happen.

A question I have is who are these people that are in the street? They keep switching point of views and it gets quite confusing. We started in the veiw of Sophie and then some dude in the bookstore, and now back to Sophie. Also, Im not sure what golems are and as I kept reading I learned that it is a man made out of clay.

While reading this chapter, I found myself re reading a lot. This chapter is very hard to understand. This author is constantly giving you details and very specific details. Most of the time, the details that are being talked about, i cant understand any of it.

The author uses fore shadowing in the book. Right before the chapter ends, he states that world would never be the same. This is as Josh Newman was walking up the steps, and he could smell something very bad. The, when he got to the top of the steps, he realizes the world wouldn't be the same.
