I'm still really surprised that wes was the one that robbed the jewelry store and probably killed a cop. I actually got happy for wes and i thought he was turning his life around but we get hit with the scene of mary watching the news. I could see why wes would do it he was struggling with money and Cheryl didn't work because she was using.

The boo is giving me really beautiful feelings while reading it. I really liked how the author Wes turned his life around for the better. The whole parachuting thing for me has irony it is a blood-pumping action just as Wes's killing or drug dealing with each one of them doing their own ferocious thing. I really want to see Wes's trial if it is included in the book.

From the third interview in jail, there was a phrase that stood out the most to me. The " I wasn't even there that day" felt like a false imagination. He told himself that just to think that he was a little less guilty. As the author said Wes probably expected if he repeated that to himself he'll just be set free but that just didn't happen

2 huge things happened with the criminal Wes. He gets her girlfriend pregnant and probably will ditch the baby just as his father did to him. Wes kills his first man wow. The worst part is that the whole neighborhood saw him because he was running through the streets shooting the guy until he finally hit him. I think the message he sent was a really big and unnecessary message.

We now have a look at we's military school experience. The first days he was so depressed because he was far away from home. He had the plan to escape and go home but he got played by his squad leader. Then we get a hint of what will probably make Wes enjoy the school which is the respect. He likes how people respect the squad leader and it was really respect not street respect.

The reason I am really enjoying this book mainly about the whole theme of life in the hood. I thought that I was interesting in seeing Wes's first drug encounter with his mom. Also the whole fight with tony about not getting into the "game". I really like that tony doesn't want to involve us in the drug business.

In the book, we get a better inside at bad Wes's life and how he got into the drug business little by little. He was looking at some kids with some cool headphones so he asked where to get one and that easy he got into the drug world. It really amazes me that it is that easy to get in but getting out is not easy. From here bad Wes will probably climb himself in the drug industry with a one-time controlling Baltimore.

From this point in the book, we can already differentiate between the two Weses. The good Wes at 8 years old had already moved to a nicer neighborhood with their grandma. On the contrary Wes at just 8 years old probably had an attempted murder charge to his name. The author tells us that Bronx security has been deteriorating and getting worse with time.

The book started really interesting with not knowing what was we are talking about. From the start, you can already see the big life difference between the two and who they grew up. Wes at just 8 years old got arrested for trying to kill a kid in his block. I guess that from here we're going to get a better look at Wes's past and all the things he did to get where he is which is jail.
