Mr Price... is interesting. All the characters in one way or another, seem only selfish and self-interested. Fanny has perhaps a more generous spirit, and Edmund too is in a more generous light than anyone else.

Henry Crawford is a pretty well-drawn character. He believes so whole-heartedly in his own proficiencies that he thinks that he can make Fanny fall in love with him, despite her claims to the contrary. His further entreaties to Fanny sound almost like Mr Collins' proposal...
