Right now Tori and Eli are trying to earn money because they need money to buy food and live. Amber and Malik are trying to break into a hotel so they can sleep somewhere. All of the characters are grateful for being able to escape Serenity and get so far without being caught.

Right now Malik is talking to his “dad” who is about to die and is telling him the truth. One adjective to describe Amber is organized, this is because she always has a list of things to do and knows what to say at the right times. She is really smart and had good goals.

Right now Malik is being driven home to see hid “dad” one more time, but he makes the driver stop to get Amber before they leave. There is a cliffhanger at the end of the chapter because it doesn’t say if Malik came in time to tell his “dad”that he is his clone before he died.

Right now Eli and Amber are talking to Blake (the guy who mysteriously also looks like Eli). This book takes place in a lot of places actually, the characters all travel to New Mexico, Chicago, Los Angles, and Jackson hole. These can change because the places where they are doesn’t really matter, all that matters is what they are doing there and the people that are there.

Right now Eli and Tori are trying to make money by selling Girl Scout cookies that they found in the unused store. Amber and Malik are at Malik’s clone’s house and staying their while Malik pretend to be his clone’s son. The author’s style of writing is switching off between character’s perspectives. I like how she does this because I get to see everyone’s personal opinions.

Right now Tori and Eli still didn’t get enough money so they broke into a hotel nearby. Malik and Amber are trying to find Malik’s clone. The conflict is character because the purples are making a conflict against Malik, Amber, Tori, and Eli.

Amber and Malik are by the gas station hiding from the purples when they see a newspaper saying that Maliks clone escaped from jail! Tori and Eli are trying to find a place to stay where the purples won’t find them. The best character or the most important character is Malik right now because he just found out that his clone escaped from jail which could help them a lot.

Right now Amber and Malik are floating down a river. Eli and Tori are in a helicopter flying away from the purples. The setting is really important in the book right now because Malik, Amber, Eli, and Tori are all separated so you need to make sure you don’t get confused.
