I’m so close to being done and that’s great except I’m so confused because it’s all mixed up with politics now and it’s real rough

It’s getting super political and really deep in to socialism and I don’t understand at ALL

I still don’t really understand what’s going on because it’s gotten very political but like oh well

I want to know why this Freddie kid was introduced and then gotten rid of he seemed cool
Also jurgis joins a gang?? What an icon

Boy oh boy let’s go over chapters 13-23
Ona is pregnant again hooray!
Jurgis beats up onas boss because he’s sexually assaulting her oh no
Jurgis goes to jail
Ona AND baby #2 die
Jurgis gets a n g e r y and also can’t get a job
He gets a job!
Antanas drowns and now jurgis has no one
Jurgis just straight up runs away
Now he’s vibing as a single man

Okay so um
Ona and the second baby are both dead so that’s sad no happy ending for jurgis
Things are looking up though
But they also aren’t
This book really hurts my feelings

God damn it now I’m sad

Sweet baby Jesus that was a whirlwind of emotions it’s getting juicy now but I’m also really sad because I just want jurgis and ona to be happy and things really aren’t going well

I hope nothing bad happens to ona or jurgis or their baby they’re such a sweet family
