Today, the A's walked off in the twelfth inning against the Tigers. Watching the highlights, I got shivers... That's the feeling that Ward tries to convey, and he's rather successful at it.

Lots of really interesting stuff here. I'll never be a true A's fan either... I should've gotten into baseball as a kid...

The diary format is interesting. I'm not sure how much of this is actually a memoir, but Ward's writing is fairly entertaining. I wish there was more about soccer, however.

I've kind of been on a soccer kick, or at least been trying to get into it, recently. The first few pages of this book really piqued my interest, because I've never grown up with sports, and having that kind of fanaticism with an activity is intriguing. Anyway, the author seems very funny, and I'm excited to see where this leads.
