Graphic and brutal. The deadpanned realism of the author is astounding. It reads like a blog or newspaper account. This would make sense considering the author was a journalist. But tough to finish in a full setting. It’s a book that requires a hyper historical focus. If one reads it with emotion, it would be hard to finish.
