"Apparently, the death of a young girl, despite her having been a snobbish brat, was quite an event." Gees! A little harsh? We've seen nothing and heard nothing to imply that Lucia was deserving of such talk. And that's surprising from a book that's chock-full of shoe-horned exposition.
