Quinn, who enjoys partying on Friday night as much as Rashad, has a few obstacles in his way before he can "get his party on". One of which is getting his little brother to a friend's house for the night so that he isn't home alone. He talks back a lot though, and it annoys Quinn very much.

The main character has been pressured by his dad to join a junior military group. He's still in high school, so it's not something that's far from home, but it is something that he'd rather not do. Especially not on Fridays. Those are supposed to be "party days" in his opinion, but the group makes him wear these itchy green uniforms, and by the end of the day, he's running to the bathroom so he can change out of it.
