meliorative... not a word you hear often or that 99% of people even on GR will know - look it up. especially in these times when regardless of where one is on the spectrum, there's too much disagreement, anger, strife & histrionics, it'd be a nice change to return to some civility & faith in insttitutional ability (in a trust/verify way). it's been 56 years since the speech, but it's still apposite and worth a read.
