Ben is now trying to find the people who killed jimmy.

Ben has gone back to jimmy's dead body and took some photos that jimmy had wanted to print out

Ben is now covering up his tracks and trying to give himself an alibi so he doesn't get marked as a suspect when the cops find Jimmy's body. ben decided to stop at Brookes's party and is acting strange from seeing jimmy die. Brooke noticed ben acting strangely and is asking him what is going on.

Ben has just witnessed Jimmy's murder and is trying to decide what to do in his current situation. he can't tell the police because his father is the sheriff and his parents thought he was at the ER volunteering.

Ben is aimlessly wandering the state now trying to decide if he wants to help jimmy upload a portfolio.

Ben went to the CuppaJoy cafe and tried to talk to jimmy about the picture he took of ben and entered it into a photo competition

"'The gay guys had a couple cats, and one of them was black, I guess,' said Robert. 'On Halloween, the kids got drunk and went over to and strung up the cat.'
'Jesus' Parker said.
'Yeah. Left it hanging on the front porch. The bartender was out, and I guess the other guy found it when he came back after second shift" (Bick 55)

Jimmy entered a few candid pictures of Ben into a photography contest and now Ben is worried that everyone in town will think he is gay.

Jimmy has been caught by his dad participating in the school newspaper and the school yearbook, his dad does not approve and beat jimmy with a rolled-up magazine.

Ben is at the Lange farm helping out in place of Mr.Langes oldest son Del who died in a Car accident
