Short light reading to keep me occupied (will finish Lolita and Sonnets before the year ends), just wanted something to read before I went to sleep that was fun rather than informative. I also really want to get into speculative science fiction
So far - nothing happened but it's still kind of cool.

After much thought I decided that...I'm not going to bother finishing the book. I watched a video that summarized it and by the end of it I was angry that I wasted my time watching that.

Welp it turns out the rest of the book IS written this way - and it still sucks. It removes any tension and limits the prose of the book because he is just telling the story through dialogue.
I thought the setting was lazy since it had nothing to do with earth - but turns out it's lazy in a different way on account of how blatant it represents it. Good intentions or not, it's not that interesting to read.

Oh boy. I really hope the rest of the book is not dialogue without any interruptions (it's been like this for 3 chapters so far).
It also feels like a bit of a wasted concept - he travels to the future but it may as well be an entirely different world. The "humans" are basically aliens and there is no remnants of former civilization.
This sure is going to be a fun read!
