I felt a connection on page 171 because Mrs. Sutton was talking about her grandparents being indentured servants and we also learned about indentured servants in American Studies Class.

I felt happy when Holmes wasn't being poisoned or threatened to be killed so he could enjoy his voyage and attempt to find Georgina and say buy to his ship Sultana which he was happy to say goodbye too.

I felt sad when George put all the pieces together and found out that Georgina was missing and might have been killed. However, it is not certain that Georgina is dead because they are still trying to find out if she's actually dead and who kidnapped her.

I felt excited inn chapter 13 because we were going to find out what happened on Holmes' voyage. I'm excited to see what they accomplish and do on the voyage and what will happen to them.

In chapter 11, I had a feeling of suspense when they're given clues to try to find who a mystery character was. They used the clues to spell out Anabel, but they aren't 100 percent sure if that's actually her or its someone else.

I felt confused in chapter 9 when Holmes divorced Georgina and married another girl. It made me confused because they were a great couple and they were perfect together. Holmes' new wife and him our now in an argument about money and if he stayed with Georgina this would never happen because Georgina is a nice girl.

I felt sad in Chapter 7 when it was Georgina and Holmes' year long anniversary, but Holmes was out of town so they weren't able to celebrate the anniversary with each other. However, the only way they could communicate was through letters which Georgina recommended that Holmes' sends every day to her.

I felt happy when Holmes married Georgina because Georgina is a very nice and smart girl. However, the only way they were able to marry each other was if they saved enough money for a house, which made me happy when they did it in 18 months and they were able to get married.

I didn't like chapters 3 and 4 of my book because it was hard to follow along with what was happening because so many things were happening. One connection I made is when they made a toast to Mycroft Holmes because I've seen my own family make toasts and I've seen it in movies.

I felt scared because on page 16 George became unconscious and was about about to get attacked by a horse. Then I felt relieved because Holmes was able to keep the horse away from Douglas for now so Douglas wouldn't be attacked by the big horse because he was unconscious and had blood all over his body.
