The dynamic character in the story is Helen Keller. In the beginning she was an ordinary little girl, but then she got diagnosed with an illness. This caused her to become blind and deaf. Helen changes by learning how to overcome it, and how to talk and hear in her own way.

In my opinion, I think that the purpose of this book is to inform the reader on how Helen Keller survived being deaf and blind. I think the audience is around 12 years old, due to Helen Keller being young in the book. The reader probably cares about people and their problems. The author appeals to imagination because Helen only has the option to imagine things instead of hearing or seeing them.
