This book is told from a first person point of view. This helps me gain information because I know what Brian, the main character, is going through his head and his psychological standpoint. It also engages you in the story making you feel like you are Brian and what you would do if you were in his position.

When Brian starts talking to himself and he says "Hey dad aren't you proud of me, look what I did." This shows that Brian may becoming a tad insane and is feeling vey lonely and isolated.

The theme of this book is even under the most hopeless and difficult situations to stay positive and focused. How this compares to my life is sometimes when I think think things are to hard and think about giving up, I stay positive knowing that I can do it.

In Hatchet the boy is trapped in a jungle after a plane crash and is trying to stay alive to be rescued. In the last book the main character is stuck in war in Japan and is doing everything he can to get back home and staying alive, so the plots...
