Khan Saw this book for 5.99 on amazon and I couldn’t resist. Hahah it’s thick man, this book could be used as murder weapon but I look forward to the review from you!

Thank you my friend. It is a thick, and also a tough book too. I am progressing through it quite slowly. Some parts of it are excellent, but it is a bit old-fashioned in its notational choices and in its pedagogical approach, and very, very concise, trying to condense so much stuff into a single book.
A hard slog, but worth it so far. I would rate it between 3.5 and 4 stars so far.

Khan It does seem old school but much respect for tackling this book, I opened it and the only thing I understand so far is the table of contents. Hoping to be able to read this by the end of the year, however I am excited to take this challenge on. Thanks for the midway review, that’s a solid score giving the time period this book was released.

Thank you Maukan. yes it is definitely a bit old school, but it has aged quite well, especially with regards to the more traditional areas of classical physics.
Some derivations are absolutely excellent (better than what found in many more modern books, to be honest), but on the not-so-positive side it has taken me quite some time to get used to the notation, which is now not so commonly used; also, some derivations are quite cryptic, as they are too concise, and it took me some serious effort to get through them. Tough but rewarding.

Khan Yeah looking at the notations give my heart palpitations, will see if I can decipher this in the upcoming months while I work on building up the foundations of my mathematical abilities. I can't wait till these types of books actually make sense to me. Till then I will rely on your reviews so keep em coming!
