I have no surprise that Hungary took some land out of Slovaks, but for Poland? They could ally each other in the first place. I am thinking if Polish really deserved that much land and empathy after the war, due to the things they did to Jews and other victims.

The Action that France and Britain did reminds me of how People let their opponents grow so quickly and finally fail at last. I can see how Britain wants to Carry out the policy that they have been using for hundreds of years but. The times have changed and campaigns work so much different.

I will be taking break from this book on the holiday. I will borrow a new book to pair up with. I have read to the part where the third Reich is trying to annex Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia. Britain and the French keep backing down, allowing the Reich to grow fast. I believe the memory of the Great War is still fresh in both nations. This has caused their policies against German weakened.

After the Beer Hall putsch, Adolf Hitler was thrown into jail for 5 years. Hitler dreamed that he could use violence to overthrow the old Weimar Republic. But it failed, so Hitler decided to use the democratic process to gain power. I really like how the author compared Germany now and then. He connected his own experience when he was in Germany and how people there enjoyed democracy and liberty.

In the paragraphs, it described Hitler's family and how he became a German nationalist and took over the NSDAP in 1920. The party gained population quickly as the Treaty of Versailles was published and the defeat of Germany. I think how the Germans were so angry about their defeat was that they had the Prussian tradtiton to agressive and millaristic.
