Despite the fact that I have read eight books this week, my page count on my 2013 Reading Challenge has not changed. I am irritated as hell by this. Since a lot of the 'books' in the m/m genre are so ridiculously short I am more interested in page count than the number of books.

Check to see if the edition you marked has a page count. Either change to one that does or see if you can find the page count and get a GR librarian to enter it on the book page for you. My guess is that it's probably just a case of missing data.

My guess ..."I wish it were that simple Kate. I have made sure that each book that I read this year has either had a page count already or I have researched it and added them myself. I am such a dork about these things but I read 471 books last year which sounds impressive as hell until you realize that each book only averaged out to 133 pages. See, I am a dork :)
LOL, okay. GR has things that bug me too. Like when I look at one of those histograms they have on the book pages and realize the number of ranking there doesn't match the number of total rankings which doesn't match the number of rankings when I do a book search. I don't trust their data much. I suspect some pieces of their databases aren't recompiled very often.
