Struggling through the introduction. Some of seems to make a lot of sense, and some of it makes me never want to set foot inside an academic institution again. Ever. And I hate that the book starts with this many-paged reference to "Brokeback Mountain," during the filming of which animals were maltreated, abused and killed. For the point of the book, I understand *why* the movie is referenced, but don't like it.
