Now THAT is way more interesting of a concept than the alchemy hoo-ha. I wish McGuire told me less than she has about Reed and the fake children's books. If I was reading only the parts from Roger's point of view, I would be SO INTRIGUED by Erin's claim that they both come from the same lab. It's less tantalizing when I know the answer.

I was slogging through this because people insisted that it was good - finally got to the chapters with Roger and Dodger instead of the overdramatic alchemists. I like "weird kids in each others brains" more than "underwhelming exposition".
