A couple things:
(1) There are some books that I purposely hold back for special occasions, like they're rare wines. This is one such book, and I thought it'd be a fitting choice for my 500th Goodreads review.
(2) I was all set to read "300" for my 300th review, but forgot to. So, this is me picking another Frank Miller book for a milestone read.

A few things:
(1) Batman makes mistakes, and pays for them, because of course he does! No rookie hero is perfect straight away. Struggle is essential to the hero's journey, a fact modern comics, and fiction in general, seem to have forgotten.
(2) I love the art. It's 1940s simplicity, but intentional and expertly done. It's like a gourmet burger.
