Just read the chapter on the Mirror of Erised. Oh, Dumbledore. You know it's a beautiful life with Grindlewald that you see in that mirror. Poor Dumbledore.

Tears tonight when I stopped reading because, "Mommy, it is so gooooooood! Please read more!"

Child is loving it. I would enjoy reading it more if I hadn't been sick with a cough and scratchy throat from before even starting it. It's hard to enjoy reading aloud even the most fun book when it's painful and interspersed with coughing fits.

Child: I feel sorry for Dudley. All those broken toys and dead pets. He can't be happy. *a beat* I feel sorry for the pets too. Poor Dudley. Poor dead pets.

So much laughter. Two quotes from child tonight while reading:

1. This is even funnier and better than the movie!
2. I think Harry survived Voldemort's attack because he had a very good immune system.

Kiddo was so tired she fell asleep while I was reading, so I'll have to back track a page or two. Amazingly the opening of the movie had somehow replaced the beginning of the book in my mind. I'm rather ashamed of my brain for doing that.
