While I was reading, time went by pretty quickly because I'm really invested in my book right now and I'm really trying to get at least half way by next week.

Today when I was reading, I was kind of confused because it's kind of all over the place. I was also kind of bored because it's taking a really long time to get to the climax of the story.

Today I found out that Tom Joad, the main character in the book, committed a homicide. The author also continued to describe the setting.

While I was reading, time kind of went by quickly because of the way the author started the book out. Instead of introducing characters, he started out by fully describing the setting, leaving a clear image in my head of what the area looks like.
