pg 44 of 54?!? I misunderstood Kindle's "location" count thinking it was measuring total pages/remaining pages!

Before I picked up this book to read a little tonight, I considered not continuing it. I found myself annoyed by Powers' writing style. I found it too fragmented and it was distracting me. Am I ever glad I listened to my better judgement.
