Just completed "The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath" and I'm BLOWN AWAY! The imagery and experiences in this tale were so vivid that I could see in my mind the entire tale fully rendered in modern CG, and I may even decide to make that a project of my own in the near future. LOVED this story!

I have now completed "The Color Out of Space." I vaguely recall reading this story in an AP English class back in high school, but I can't be sure at this point. Still, H.P. is a master at taking an ordinary location, and ordinary characters, and giving them such a horrific twist that they become altogether engaging. He can make something out of nothing, every time!

I just completed "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward." Now here was a story of magic and dark entities that maintained a pace like modern action films. I can totally imagine this one as a CG-laden Hollywood feature!

I've now finished "At the Mountains of Madness" and "The Call of Cthulhu." This puts me back on track for reading cover to cover. =-) AtMoM was a pretty good story. A case study in suspense, with very little actual substance ever being delivered. A page turner nonetheless.
