It doesn't help that I was convinced that the reader is the same guy who did the voice for HAL. So far, too many times it feels he's reading it as if you were a child (kind of the way HAL would talk to Bowman and Poole). Got to 90 minutes in by the time I got home from a long drive. Read reviews this morning -- and really wish I had before selecting it. I'm not much into "humanity: bad"/depressing stories, but, I'll hang with it as long as I can.
