So, I hope no one stones me for this, but I think I’m actually enjoying this more than The Shining. I admire The Shining for how King handled the average man’s slow decent into madness, but I do love a good redemption story. I feel that this good vs. evil kind of approach works better for me; I like someone to root for.

So, I’m enjoying this, as I knew I would. I mean, it’s Stephen King, so I’m not surprised. But, I feel like I haven’t really gotten into the thick of this book, and I’m almost a quarter of the way through. It just feels like a really, really long set up.
