The book was very repetitive. It also takes a while for the story to get going. The ending of the story is rushed. There really wasn’t a lot of detail, it was very vague. But, the way the author creates the sisters lives is interesting. They deal with their neglectful home differently. I connected this to the theme of negative role models. Both parents are drug addicts. Dad left the family. Mom also had no money.
