okay that was an unexpected POV switch with no heads-up haha

yikes it's been a while since a book has so utterly stolen my heart (hahahaha) in the first few pages??

'I have a heart for every year I’ve been alive.'

and just like that, with that first line, this book grabbed my collar, pulled me close, and told me to pay attention to it
