Margret showed up at her parents doorstep alive and got the news and media crazy over her.

"In a few days after Chloe disappeared, I paid more attention to my face than I ever had before. I had to look confused and stunned and afraid." Just from the beginning the author expresses the wrongness of Finn and Chloe's plan. Finn has to fake all her emotions about Chloe's disappearance when all along she knows where Chloe is hidden.
