The Martins are becoming more cautious after the humans found their weakness and they've started communicating through sirens.

In this chapter London finally figured out what the Martians look like and I am guessing they are about to go into London.

In the part that I read the people in London are finally finding out the true power of the Martians and are getting nervous.

In the pages I read it described how the news was given in to the public in London. The news was basically a brief column because no-one really knew what was going on at the time, the only things they knew were the fires and the troops.
