Ruby is struggling. Her ego- tastic dad is overprotective and annoying, her bodyguard is full gay, the kids at school aren't the nicest, she misses her dead mom like crazy, and her friends back home are basically dying because they miss her so much. On top of that, her boyfriend back home named Ray is starting to lose feelings for her, and Ruby is unbelievably sad about that. So far in this book, life is pretty bad.
