The most memorable moment or event was when Mark gets beat up when walking down the street at night. This was memorable because it's kinda when the author reveals what's wrong with mark and why he is so sick. The rest of the story up to this point kinda gives hints but when this event happens it was finally revealed that he is sick with cancer; thats why I think it is the most memorable event.
