Okay, granting that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was a terrible human being and waterboarding is 100% torture and that there's really nothing ha-ha funny about anything related to 9/11, it IS kind of funny to think about KSM being immune to waterboarding and taunting his torturers by falling asleep during it or counting down with his fingers to the point when he knows they're going to stop pouring because he figured it out

Say what you will about Gladwell's theories (and much has been said in recent years, a lot of it negative), I stand by the fact that he's a compulsively readable stylist who at least makes you think.
