Major English (Laura) is finished
I am about to start the second book in this series called Tormented Discovery. Ooh what a title! Sounds sad/angsty :( in reading the synopsis of the third book in this series has me unenthusiastic... It is called Drifting and i read it accidentally as it was on the last page on the Finding Our Way ebook. The whole series better be HEA or I'll be mad!

Tina Hey, you started before me! How is it?

Major English (Laura) I like where it is going, it is a bit slow at times and the dialogue/inner monologue seems a little unnatural at times, but I do like it. I think it was only $2.99 on amazon.com, so that's good! And I like that it has a sequel. I do like the characters and look forward to where their story goes. I am at 20% now.

Major English (Laura) I can relate well to these kids. Both kids remind me of my teen days and myself in general.

Major English (Laura) I really wish these characters would use contractions. I wish they would say "can't" as opposed to "cannot" and "I've" as opposed to "I have" etc. it would make the dialogue so much more natural.

Tina OK, I'm off to start!

Major English (Laura) Masterbation was just referred to as "the five knuckle shuffle" and "bopping my baloney" ... Good grief! Oh my gosh. LOL

Hope you like! I hope it piks up the pace a bit!

Tina Pretty good so far. The writing is awkward though.

I agree. The writing is awkward. Especially when it mentions something in the future or in the past but it doesn't lead up to it. It's a bit repetitive and is stalling a bit, but I'm at the 57% point so I hope things speed up

Major English (Laura) Also tons of typos and editing errors. That always irks me. I don't understand how they find their way into published works.

Tina I would usually have given up on a book of this poor quality by now but for some reason, I really love these guys and want to see how their lives turn out. I find myself automatically turning the words into contractions in my head as I read them.

Guess our willingness to stick with a book through the bad editing and writing just because we like the characters is a sign of our addiction.
